Dave of web development company Business Edge

from Dave - I have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems and have been in IT for more than 25 years. I have an artistic side and quickly jumped into GUI development as soon as Windows became popular. I have worked with many different technologies and I am always looking for opportunities to work with the latest and greatest. I believe I have found that here at the Business Edge.

What do you do here?

My job description covers web development through database development and everything in-between. I am always looking to expand my knowledge and therefore always willing to step up to the plate when something new needs to be developed.

What do you do when you’re not here?

Well I have so many interests it's difficult to find time to do them all. But if I had to choose one to do every week, that would be beach volleyball.

What is my favorite movie of all time?

"Platoon". I've always been a fan of the military genre. "Saving Private Ryan" is up there too, but since I saw Platoon first, that's the winner.

Where is your favorite place you’ve visited? Where would you like to go that you haven’t yet?

Disney World. I've been there several times, as a kid, with my wife, and then with my kids. It's always a good time. I would like to go to all the places in Hawaii that my wife and I didn't get a chance to go to when we were there on our honeymoon.

What video game do you enjoy the most? Do you like to play alone or with friends?

I have to go all the way back to the original XBOX, "Brothers In Arms", in keeping with the military genre of course. This is not just a shoot 'em game. You get the chance to be a leader and share in the loss and the success of the missions. I definitely prefer to play with friends.

Do you play any musical instruments? Have you ever been in a band?

Nope. And I certainly don't sing. Last time I sang a song my dog got up off the floor, casually walked over to me, and proceeded to pee on me. I've never been in a band. I don't have any talent for it.

Who is your favorite singer or band? Would you dance in public to their music? If not, how much money would it take for you to dance in public to their music?

I don't really have a favorite band, but I do prefer alternative music. However, I will often put on the Spa SiriusXM channel or Escape SiriusXM channel after a long day just to relax. None are really dance music. Money? I can't dance so that would be stealing.

If you had a million dollars, what would you do?

Give some. Invest some. Spend some.

Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome or Safari?

Chrome. Because it's shiny. ;-P

What can you do that most other people can’t do?

I can bake my mom's homemade apple pie.
